Ok, y'all! What's in your animals toy box? What is on their wishlist?

Let's begin with Gladus is spoiled, very spoiled. *grin!* I can't fully remember if Darby was this spoiled, but he probably was. Hee-Hee!

A big difference between my experience with a big dog and a little dog, is Gladus loves soft squeaky toys! About 6 months after adopting her, she didn't destroy them anymore, lol! She has a lamb, a girlfriend, a santa face, a guitar, and that's all I can come up with for now. She loves to squeak them and whip them from side to side!

She absolutely loves her wubbas! She has 2 ordinary wubbas and 2 snugga wubbas. I keep meaning to throw out the older ones, but she still grabs them from time to time. BTW, the snugga wubbas have no squeakers and are covered in fleece.

She also loves her puzzle, treat toys. The kong extreme goodie ship is a great one. Very tough and I can shove kibble inside the grooves. I like leaving this one with her when we leave her.

I would say, Darby's top toys were his kong and his nila-bone frisbee. Gall, did he love that nila frisbee!

What do your animals love?

My guide dog likes Nylabones, Kong toys, balls that light up, a rubber squeaky bone and a fleece squeaky bone.

Awww, I bet it is cute to see a big dog with a soft toy. *grin*

Gladus has scolded me for not mentioning Oscar. I think I have already mentioned him somewhere around here, but...

He is from the tuffie line of toys. He is a purple octopus and is nearly too large for her! There is a squeaker in his head and one in each of his 8 legs. The tuffy toys are great! She also has a boomarang from that line!

There is a toy I've found since getting Glad, a everlasting fire plug. I can't wait to introduce one to a big guide dog! It is a tough rubby toy and comes with a treat stuck on one end. The dog needs to get the treat out. It'll be interesting to see if it is tough enough for a big dog. Again, I reuse this one and shove kibble inside it.

I have a cat. He has lots of those little balls with bells in them as well as pingpong balls and those soft spongy balls. But his favorite toy is called da bird. There is a slim 36-inch pole with a string and several attachments you can put on the end of the string. The idea is to swing it around and the cat chases it. His favorite attachment is a little mouse. It also has bird feathers, a shiny mylar dangly thing, a feather, and a puff ball. The mouse is his favorite, but I like to change them a lot to keep him interested.

libra lady, where did you get that toy? it sounds so cute. our kitten who just died loved those kind of toys. the big cat thinks she's too old to play but sometimes i can get her with the fishing pole. it has a mouse on the end and you swing it back and forth. the kitten had a tree with a bird in it. he would pounce on the tree thing and the bird would come down. very funny

our dog jade who was just peut to sleep had all kinds of squeaky toys. she loved them. she had the retriever in her and would bring them back. she was rescued from the pound and just did this instinctually i think. her favorites were squeaky footballs and a squeaky sneaker. she also liked these chicks that came out of the eg and squeaked.

Awww, playful kitties are so cute!!

Has anyone played with a lazer pointer with their animals? You have to becareful to not point it in their eyes, but they usually love to try to catch the spot of light. Gladus did, until she figured out where the light was coming from. lol!

*Grin,* I forgot to mention... Darby use to know how to put his toys away! If I was going to vacuum or something, I'd say put your toys away, and he actually did! I could even say, you forgot your kong. He'd trot out and grab his kong. Heehehehe!

Darby also loved his goodie ships, but sheesh, that boy needed the extreme model! He had the red one and somewhere I found a yellow one.

The only time I'd catch Darb on his back was in the grass with a toy. I could never get him to willingly roll over.

Oh get this, we just bought Glad a dog saver! It is the cutest thing! It is purple and looks just like a life saver. It is rubbery with slits to stuff treats, and it smells like grape! I'm not sure how tough it is yet, so I'm not comfortable it being a leave alone toy.

Yeah my cat likes the lazer pointer.

I like to turn the lights out at night and use the laser pointer. My cat loves it and makes himself dizzy running around in circles.

Turricane, I got the Da Bird from Amazon. They sell various configurations...there is a solid 36-inch pole or one that pulls apart in the middle for easier storing. However, I prefer the solid pole because have found that after taking the divided one apart several times, the place where the two halves meet becomes loose, and if the cat jumps at the toy on the end can easily cause you to be left holding one half of the poll while he runs around the house dragging the attachment and the other half behind him.

Amazon also has all the attachments. You can by a value pack with one of each of the attachments, several of one kind in each package, etc.

In addition to Amazon, I have bought cat toys at petmountain.com and catclaws.com. I'm sure a brick and mortar store such as Pet Smart would have Da Bird too.

My guidedog Pria has lots of toys she loves. She has a ball shaped like the kind of thing people used to play jacks with, so we call it Jackaball, there's a resicled football, a rubber ring, a squeeky chicken, and several kinds of tugging ropes. Funny, but my dog has the toddeler syndrom. She no's how to get her toys out of the toybox, but she has no idea how to put them back. Lololol Y oh y didn't guidedog school teach them that. smiley

My guide dog has lots of small soft toys, a nyla bone, and 2 rubber squeeky toys, and a tennis ball that I only rarely let her play with as they aren't recommended. I'm not sure what she'd wish for, probably anything new of the above.
